WELCOME TO
WOODWARD RANCH!

Here is a list of all the things to do here on the ranch…our ‘menu’, if you will. If you have any questions just ask!
  1. Rock Shop - Feel free to look around at our many one-of-a-kind jewelry items and unique rocks from around the world! Hours are 9 to 5 Thursday thru Sunday. Closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. EXCEPT DURING SPRING BREAK. FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY EXCEPT SUNDAY

  2. Rock Hunt – Rock hunting here on the main ranch is $5 per person (no charge for under 6 yrs. old) plus $2 per pound for what you choose to keep. We will show you how to identify the rocks in the field, and upon your return go through your collection and tell you the different kinds that you have.

  3. Grandpa’s Magic Garden – If you are unable to go out on the ranch and hunt, we have a special area right here in back of the shop, where a collection of all the agates you can find out on the ranch are located. These are PRIMO rocks, the best of the best collected over three generations. These rocks START at $25 per pound, and we must accompany you to the area. It is not a long walk and it is not a strenuous walk. Take the time you want and pick out the rocks you want.

  4. Heritage and Fireplace Tour – This is a tour of our Heritage Room where you will learn some of the history of the ranch and see many artifacts of the ‘old days.’ Many items are over 100 years old. This tour includes viewing the unique fireplace, built of all the rock you can find here on the ranch, plus a few specimens from other parts of the region. This tour is $5 per person ( under 12 yrs. old $3), and takes about 30 to 45 minutes. In busy seasons, i.e. Spring Break, these tours may only be offered at specific times. During off season times the tours can be arranged to fit your schedule.

  5. Cabins, Camping, and RV Sites – The RV sites are $35 per night for 2 people, $2 per night for each extra person. The sites are full (water, sewer, electric) pull-through sites. Tent sites are $20 per person, under 6 yrs. old no charge. Some of the tent sites have electricity and water - first come first served. There is a restroom nearby, NO SHOWER. If you are staying with us, in cabins, rv's, or tents, there is NO $5.00 charge for rockhunting. You pay only the $2.00 per pound for what you choose to keep.

The cabins are located approximately 2 miles from the main headquarters on the banks of Calamity Creek. The large cabin sleeps up to 7 people and has a full kitchen. There is a gas range, fridge/freezers, and most utensils. Outside there is a fire ring, and separate bbq pit. You are responsible for bringing your own bed linens and towels. The charge for this cabin is $175 per night plus tax. Reservations required.

The small cabin has no kitchen, but it does have a microwave, toaster and coffeepot. All linens and towels are provided for this cabin. This cabin sleeps up to 4 people and is also located at Calamity Creek. The charge for this cabin is $125 per night plus tax. For both cabins there is a minimum two night stay during holidays and spring break. Reservations required.

  6. REFUND POLICY - Deposits are required for reservations on cabins and rv sites. The amount of deposit will be half of the required amount due for your visit. If you cancel your stay within at least 14 days (fourteen days) of your reservation date, we will refund HALF of your deposit in cash, or apply ALL of your deposit to a stay on the ranch at a later date, within one year (one year), whichever you prefer. If reservations are cancelled within less than 14 days before your reservation date, there will be NO refund.

CABIN deposits during SPRING BREAK: Spring Break is our busiest season, comprising the entire month of March. CABIN reservations for March must be pre-paid for the length of your stay. No refund is available, so please be sure of your visit dates!
We hope your visit will be a pleasant one!
